Jason looked at him, smirking. He chuckled.
"I'll agree with you there, Slayers are more of a threat than werewolves. Werewolves are misunderstood creatures such as ourselves. I'm sure the only reason they fight with vampires is because vampires fight with them. Sure, I've had a few wrong dealings with werewolves, not all of them are as friendly as some, but there's werewolves out there that don't want to cause fuss and just relax."
Jason realised how daft he must have sounded. A vampire talking about werewolves as if they were both human. The two vampires in front of him must think he was nuts! He ran his hand through his hair again, why did he keep doing that?
He sighed and looked at the female vampire, waiting for her response and then quickly looked at Lazlo, wondering what his reasponse was. It was quite clear that he didn't like werewolves, even an idiot could spot that, not that Jason was an idiot of course.
He shuffled his feet a little. The dull burning ache in his throat told him that he needed to feed, or it would get worse. Jason didn't like pain, even if it was the pain of his own body. He blinked a few times, waiting for their replys to his statment. He was sure one of them was going to tell him that he was wrong or something, that werewolves were vicous creatures and nothing like vampires.

Artemis shrugged I don't know, I think alot of Wolves do want to cause a fuss, there have been times where I've just walked past one and they tried to attack me. You talk about them as if they're people, they're not. They're animals, just like dogs you get the ones that are soft and wouldn't harm a fly. And then you get the nasty little buggers that bite. Artemis sighed and shuffled from one foot to another.
Even when this is over, if it's ever going to be over, Wolves and Vampires are just going to go back to fighting, even though we've had to put up with each other, it doesn't change who we are. We might all live together now, but there are still fights that end badly, causing more tension, giving us all another reason to hate each other, none of us help ourselves and it's never going to work out. They hate us, we hate them it's simple, and you can't just say, stay away from each other, 'cause that's impossible right now. It's not that I hate them, even though I kind of really dis-like alot of them, I just can't see the point of us trying to get along with each other.

"Misunderstood creatures?!" This guy was mental, he'd obviously never been on the bad side of a werewolf. "They're f*cking dogs, do you not get that?! Of course we fight with them, they'll kill us otherwise! They're nothing more than animals, they don't deserve to be treated with the kind of respect you're giving them!" He growled, exhaling deeply to let his anger escape.
Lazlo could lose his temper very quickly, especially about issues he cared about. And of course probably the only thing he cared about was himself. He was fiercely protective over his pride and the like, so if someone softened one of the few things he was scared of so that it didn't sound as dangerous, he'd be quick to prove them wrong. But of course, he still wouldn't admit he was afraid. No, no-one could ever know that. He wouldn't want them to think he was weak or anything...
In all honesty, Lazlo wasn't specifically scared of werewolves. He was scared of death. His own death. And so consequently anything that could potentially cause it. After the experience he'd had with the wolves, he'd learned they could very easily be the cause of his mortality, and so he was terrified of them attacking him again. Sunlight, fire, even the Slayers to some extent, they all scared him (although he was only scared of the Slayers if they had him cornered and were pointing guns at him). The only time Lazlo would completely forget about his pride and dignity was when he was going to be killed. Of course, he hadn't been in this situation many times, but when he was, he would scream and beg and do absolutely anything to save himself. The werewolves had been an example of this. It was not a moment he would like to relive, and he believed by suppressing the wolves they would learn their place and he wouldn't have to fear another attack from them.
"She's got the right idea..." he muttered, glancing at the girl. She was still being too soft about it, but at least she was agreeing with him. "Let me guess though Jason, you've never had a full on encounter with an angry werewolf have you? Because you certainly wouldn't be this calm and cool about them if you knew what they were really like once the animal instincts are let loose." Again, he exhaled deeply to stop the same rage building up again. His short temper got him into trouble way too often, there was no point getting into yet another fight for no decent reason.

Jason shruggled, his hands still in his pockets. He could tell Lazlo was getting angry, maybe he should stop, but he didn't. He wanted to say what he wanted to say.
"I have been on the end of an angry werewolf attack, it was my best friend, and they asked me to keep an eye on them. I nearly got myself killed, and in the end I had to kill him. His first transformation was his last. We can fight with them all we want, but we all know that we could stop all the fighting by just not arguing over silly little things."
He waited for their reaction. He was sure Lazlo was about to punch him or attack him in some way, he could tell from how he was taking deep breaths. Jason balled up his fists in his pockets, they showed as two big lumps.
Why the hell had he started this? Why couldn't he have kept his mouth shut? That was his problem, he always said the wrong thing and got himself into trouble. That had resulted him getting into a few fights and getting a few scars on his body. He always said what was on his mind, even when he was human. His mother had told him off for it several times, as his mouth had gotten him into trouble at school and he'd even started fights between other people with his mouth. What was wrong with him?
He looked Lazlo in the eye, waiting for his reaction. He glanced a few times at the female vampire, wondering what she was going to say. He looked at Lazlo again and bit his bottom lip. The guy looked like he was about to explode!

Artemis shrugged You're alowed your own opinion, but I think it's aload of crap, I'm usually quite neutral when it comes to such things, but I think I actually agree with blondie here. Artemis realised that she probably sounded quite harsh Sorry about your friend, that probably sounded mean, I didn't mean it that way, but wolves are woves and they always will be

The concept of friendship was lost on this vampire. Lazlo did have a few people whom he could tolerate the company of, and whom you would probably class as his 'friends'. But to Lazlo they meant nothing. Even Dakota, the female vampire that Lazlo was quite close to, meant very little to the blond vampire. If she happened to be killed, he probably wouldn't bat an eyelid.
So the dramatic effect the words Jason spoke about killing his best friend didn't quite work on Lazlo. Most people would be shocked and sympathetic to him afted learning he had been forced to cause the death of one of his loved ones. Laz didn't understand. He quite enjoyed death actually, his sadistic nature adored seeing people in pain. He'd been called 'sick' and 'twisted' more than enough times to learn that that was a very rare trait to find in people. In fact in his seven centuries of life, Laz had only found a handful of people who shared his enthusiasm for pain.
But anyway, Lazlo wasn't really thinking about these things at the moment. He was more focusing on the fact this annoying man kept arguing back with him. Laz expected people to back off quite quickly once he'd shown his anger, and when someone continued to argue his temper would quickly mount. This was one of those moments.
Snarling quietly, Lazlo moved closer to him standing on his tip-toes to try and reach Jason's eye level, though he still came up a bit short. He hated being small; it would be so much easier to look intimidating if he could look down on people. But no, he was cursed with this stupid lack of height. He kept on his tip-toes anyway as he growled out his response to Jason's comments on the wolves. "You don't have a clue what you're on about! Those things are dangerous, they deserve to be killed, every last one of them, slowly and painfully so I can hear their pathetic little screams!"
He narrowed his eyes at Jason. before continuing. "And I would recommend that you back off now before I get really annoyed at you! Because if you keep this up Sweetheart, I'll kill you before the Slayers get a chance!"

Jason quickly smirked at how Lazlo had to stand on his tip toes to get to his hight, even though he was still a little short. He'd never noticed that the blonde was shorter than himself 'til now. Jason had always been tall, even when he was human. His mother had always told him that by the time he hit thirty he would have been seven foot.
The smirk quickly dropped off his face as Lazlo said the words. He looked at the blonde, one eyebrow raised.
"I know what I'm talking about more than you, Lazlo. I've been around more werewolves than you've had humans. In my short forty years I've travelled the world, talking to werewolves and vampires alike. I know stuff."
Jason shrugged at Lazlo's threat, it wasn't the first time he'd been threatened and it wasn't going to be his last. He got into a lot of trouble these days, but being only 40 years old he was stronger than say than a vampire who was two hundred years old. He had no idea why, but he was. But, he was only a fraction stronger and a fraction faster, and he was sure that Lazlo would rip him to pieces or rip his throat out in seconds.
He took a step back, putting space in-between himself and Lazlo. So if he did strike, he'd have to move a few feet in front to grab him, giving Jason a very short amount of time to get out the way.
"Fine, but the only reason you're getting mad is because you know I'm right."
As soon as it left his mouth, Jason regreted saying it. He closed his eyes for a few seconds and pinched the bridge of his nose with his thumb and fore finger. He looked at Lazlo quickly and then at the female vampire. He looked at Lazlo again, stepping back again. He really didn't want to fight, but if it came to that, he'd put everything he had into it.

Artemis stepped in between the two Woah, Lazlo, calm down. We don't need any inter-species fighting 'kay, we do enough fighting and arguing with the mutts she pushed him back slightly No one needs to be arguing at a time like this she turned to Jason Look Newby, you can't just waltz in her thinking you know all, you can't just go about the place going on with yourself about how nice wolves are around vampires, you'll get yourself killed. You need to keep your mouth shut around here if you want to last She turned to Lazlo He's young and stupid, he has no idea what he's on about just ignore him and walk away.

Dropping back down onto his feet, Lazlo inwardly cursed at Jason’s height. Stupid tall people… He caught sight of Jason’s smirk and hissed at him defensively in an almost feline like manner. Lazlo shared quite a few characteristics with the cat family actually. The first one was the hiss as demonstrated a few moments ago. Another was the way his voice became a purr whenever he was acting seductive, and how he physically purred if he was enjoying someone kissing him etc. His actions also mimicked that of a feline sometimes. Whenever he was on guard duty he could be found walking graceful along the tall prison wall, circling the perimeter, like a cat would circle a garden from on top of a fence. All vampires were much more graceful than humans when they walked, and they could climb exceptionally well, but Lazlo used those skills more than most. And Lazlo also had the flexibility of a cat but err... let's not go into detail on that one.
So, anyway, back to present day. He growled, a lot louder this time, his hands balling into fists as he heard Jason argue back. This was getting ridiculous! Why would this stupid man not learn to keep his mouth shut? Lazlo had already threatened him once, and he rarely gave out second chances. "Watch your mouth, newborn! Don't act like you’re all high and mighty just because you've met one or two wolves and they happen to have spared you! I know more about this world than you could ever dream of so don't try and act like you’re smarter than me!" He narrowed his eyes, a slight smirk twitching his mouth upwards as he watched Jason back off slightly. Of course, Jason wasn't a newborn. At the age of forty he'd obviously been a vampire for a good few years now. But compared to Lazlo he was still a child.
However, Jason's youth would help him if they did get into a fight. He had an extra blast of speed and strength that Lazlo had lost with his age. Oh Laz was still very strong and very fast compared to a human, but compared to a much younger vampire, he was at a disadvantage. Conversely though, Lazlo had experience. He'd been in enough fights in his time to know exactly what kind of attacks caused the most damage, and to be able to guess what his opponent’s next move would be from the way he prepared himself. The fight could end up being quite even. If they ever got to it.
"Fine, but the only reason you're getting mad is because you know I'm right." He snarled, stepping forwards again and tensing up like he was ready to pounce at Jason. He bared his fangs, showing that he wasn’t just joking around, he really would hurt this guy. As he quickly closed the rest of the distance between them, he saw the female dart in between them, keeping them apart. He shot a snarl at her but was more focused on Jason. This newcomer couldn’t just waltz in here acting like he knew everything! He’d get himself killed! He’d better shut up if he wanted to survive any longer!
Lazlo blinked and looked down at the girl as he realised she’d just said exactly what he was thinking. Maybe she wasn’t so bad after all. She was also attempting to calm him down, something which very rarely worked but in this case was having some effect. He’d already paused his attack once he’d realised the similarities in their opinions, so it was much easier to just not attack him then if he had been half way through a pounce or something similar. He glared up at Jason. “Last chance newborn, shut up, behave and learn who’s in charge around here.” There was no-one officially in charge of the prison: the Supernaturals generally just lived in the one area, it wasn’t like a country with a parliament or a monarchy. But there were of course the select few who believed they ruled the world, and believed everyone should do exactly what they said. Lazlo fell in to this category, and generally made peoples' lives hell if they didn’t fall into place behind him. [/blockquote]

Jason stepped back again when Lazlo snarled at him. He really didn't want to get into a fight. That wouldn't be good for his image if he started a fight within an hour of being inside the place. And, being only 40, he wasn't very experienced in fighting. Sure, he'd gotten into a few fights as a human and gotten into a few fights with some werewolves and vampires that had gotten on his nerves or attacked him first.
A small growl slipped up his throat in repsonse and his fangs appeared, not that he meant them to. What the hell was he doing?!
"Watch your mouth, newborn! Don't act like you’re all high and mighty just because you've met one or two wolves and they happen to have spared you! I know more about this world than you could ever dream of so don't try and act like you’re smarter than me!"
Jason snarled louder this time. He hated been called a newborn, even if he was only 40. He'd always hated it, it made him feel like a child. His fangs slipped over his bottom lip. They were white and very sharp.
"I never said I was better than you, only that maybe I knew a little more about werewolves than yourself since you hate them. And dont call me a newborn."
He snarled low when the female stepped inbetween them. What was wrong with him? He didn't want to fight, but yet his fangs were out and he was snarling! He blinked a few times and forced his fangs back into his mouth and kept them here.
"Look Newby, you can't just waltz in her thinking you know all, you can't just go about the place going on with yourself about how nice wolves are around vampires, you'll get yourself killed. You need to keep your mouth shut around here if you want to last."
"I'm not waltzing anywhere, I cant waltz anyway."
Jason made a mental note to keep his mouth shut in future. If all the vampires here were like Lazlo then he was screwed if his mouth opened. Maybe he should leave now, he'd rather take his chances with the Slayers than with Lazlo and any other vampires that had a temper like him. He bit the inside of his lip hard and breathed in deeply.
“Last chance newborn, shut up, behave and learn who’s in charge around here.”
"And that would be you, would it? You're in change of this place? Funny, cos when I heard about this place I was told that it had no-one in charge."
Jason bit his lip harder. Why the hell had he just said that? He was sure the blonde vampire was about to attack him, whether the female vampire was inbetween them or not. He would fight back, of course, he was no coward. He may not have been in many fights but he knew how to fight.
Shut UP! Do you want to get yourself killed?! he asked himself.

Artemis rolled her eyes and pushed the vampire back a little Don't be so fasecious she looked at noth of the vampires and growled in frustration. No, he's not in charge, no one is. But we all take his advice and everyone listens to him, cause he's older, and he's seen a hell of a lot more than we have. She turned to Lazlo You need to ignore him, what does he know, seriously? You should know by now, He's young and all younger vampires think they know everything. He's chatting some serious BS, you know it, I know it. So just calm down. she turned back to newby Just walk away before he does something you'll regret, keep your mouth shut, don't say anything else, you're just going to get yourself in more trouble than you're already in. She glared at the him. She couldn't understand why he found it so hard to just walk away, why he just couldn't process the words shut up. She'd never seen a vampire so stubborn, not for a long while atleast, even then the new guy won hands down, at least the others knew when to back down. She knew if a fight broke out the new guy would lose and she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. She didn't want any trouble, she just tried to keep her head down, and keep out of other people's buisness, she only spoke when spoken to and she certainly didn't listen to gossipers. Why did I even join in, in this stupid conversation in the first place. I never have done before, well, one things for certain, I'm not cleaning up anyones mess

This guy was an idiot! He'd been here a whole ten minutes and was already in a hell of a lot of trouble. The snarling blond vampire had had just about enough of him, and was using all his restraint to stop himself from just pouncing at him and getting it over with. But he'd hold back... for now. Though how long that would last was hard to tell.
Jason started talking back to him, and Lazlo's arm twitched by his side. He was dying to dig his claw-like nails into the new vampire's skin, the temptation was almost too much. And the fact Jason was arguing back with him just made him even more eager. In fact he took a step towards the man, his lip twitching in a snarl.
Lazlo loved fights. Well, correction, he loved fights he could win. If he ended up in a fight that he was undoubtedly going to lose, he'd try his hardest to get out of it, no matter what he had to do to escape. Laz was a coward really: if he knew he had no chance he'd back off. But Jason didn't look too tough, nothing he couldn't handle.
Newborn. Such a minor insult in the range of things that Lazlo could have called him. But it definitely seemed to have struck a chord. He smirked, committing that to memory. It was always useful to know what people hated. "Darling, just because I hate something doesn't mean I don't know anything about it." He waved his hand at him in the classic gay way as he said 'darling', and flashed him another trade-mark smirk. "You'll need to come up with a better argument than that."
"And that would be you, would it? You're in change of this place? Funny, cos when I heard about this place I was told that it had no-one in charge." Lazlo frowned. That was true of course, but it wasn't an attitude he encouraged. The girl was talking, but his gaze was fixed on Jason. He caught a few words that were aimed at him, like 'walk away' and 'regret' but he payed very little attention to her. His eyes never left the male.
The sole reason he hadn't attacked Jason slready and why he was still holding his ground rather than launching at him, was that he was unsure of this new vampire's strength. Yes, he didn't look like much, but Laz knew from experience that looks could be deceiving. He just needed some kind of sign that Jason wouldn't be able to beat him and he'd launch straight into an attack. Of course, he would most likely just threaten him rather than have a proper fight. As soon as the vampire learned his place, he'd stop. Just enough to scare them.
He caught sight of the way Jason bit his lip and Lazlo's eyebrow raised slowly. Was that a moment of weakness? Come to think of it, apart from a few growls and snarls, Jason had done very little to defend himself. He smirked slightly, before quickly side-stepping the female vampire and moving towards Jason. His smirk slipped away as he became serious again, looking for a way in which to force Jason to surrender. He grabbed his shirt, pulling him down to his eye level. Scare tactics would have to do for now."You've had more than enough warnings, newborn. You can appologise and learn to respect me now. Or I can rip you to pieces and throw them in the sunlight, maybe then you'll learn your place. Your choice."

"Darling, just because I hate something doesn't mean I don't know anything about it."
Lazlo's hand moment caught Jason's eye and he smirked for a second. That movement literly screamed 'gay' at him. He made a mental note of that and wondered how many other vampires were gay, and how many gay vampires there were here. He was straight, but he'd never met a gay vampire before. But the gay vampire in question was looking at him as he he wanted to kill him. He might not see another gay vampire if the first one he met killed him. He raised his left eyebrow a little, the corner of his mouth twitching.
"Well, what do you know? Because from this conversation, it sounds like you dont know much.!
Again, Jason regreted what he said, he was sure the blonde vampire was about to attack him and he wondered why he was taking so long, not that he was bothered. Maybe the fact that he was still answering back! What the hell was wrong with him? Why the hell did his mouth always run away with him? He was about to get himself killed because of it!
He wasn't shocked when Lazlo grabbed his t-shirt and forced him to bend down, he straightened up, so he was taller than Lazlo again. A ghost of a smirk appeared on his lips and he couldn't get rid of it.
"You've had more than enough warnings, newborn. You can appologise and learn to respect me now. Or I can rip you to pieces and throw them in the sunlight, maybe then you'll learn your place. Your choice."
"Maybe if you stopped being like this then people like myself would respect you more," Jason said, not caring about what he said. Lazlo was about to kill him and he might as well get his peace in now, instead of after. "And I'm not appologising for saying what I've said, I dont appologise for telling the truth."
Jason reached up and unhooked Lazlo's fingers from his shirt and stepped back a few feet. He pulled back his lip to show his fangs a little, a warning that if Lazlo was going to fight him then he'd fight back. He was sure the blonde vampire would tare him apart in seconds, but he was going to put up a fight. It was like someone else had taken over his body. His hands were clenched into fists and his body was tense, he was ready for the fight that might happen.

Something inside Artemis's mind snapped, she'd had enough of this new guy, mouthing off, thinking he knows best, well he doesn't. Who do you think you are? She prodded him hard in the chest You've been here what? Two minutes and you're mouthing off like that, thinking you know about how things should be done in this place. You know nothing, so stop acting like you do
"And I'm not appologising for saying what I've said, I dont appologise for telling the truth." That was the last straw for Artemis, she launched herself at him, throwing him backwards against the concrete floor, snarling at him. Either you apologise, or you'll have hell to deal with if you don't. She pinned him down on the floor, her hands grabbing at the neck of his shirt. It won't just be me you'll have to deal with, it'll be him too. She gestured to Lazlo. Inside she felt bad for the new guy, she actually wanted to help him, maybe if she gave him a hard time, Lazlo might not be as harsh to him, and Lazlo was just as bad as she was.

"You little bastard!" he snapped at him, quickly moving forwards again, ready to actually attack this time. Words weren't having the right affect, and he couldn't keep his temper under control any longer. But as he stepped forwards, he felt something brush past him very quickly. The girl had pounced at Jason before Lazlo had got there, and, surprisingly, had managed to pin him to the floor.
Lazlo blinked at them for a few seconds, surprised that the girl had actually reacted like that. But as his senses quickly returned to him, he couldn't help but smirk. Now that there was no way Jason could fight back, there was no reason for Lazlo to be cautious. He could hurt the annoying brat of a vampire without having to worry about himself getting hurt. A cowardly tactic, yes, but it worked.
"Well Sweetheart, it looks like you've got yourself into a little bit of trouble doesn't it?" he said, a cocky tone in his voice, obviously very pleased he had the upper hand. He circled the two of them on the floor, before pausing by his legs. It was times like these Lazlo wished he was wearing his stilettos. They may look a bit girly, but they were extremely useful as a weapon.
His converse would have to do for now. He lifted his foot, resting his heel on Jason's shin, before looking over at his face again. "I did warn you not to mess with me. But no, everyone always underestimates the little blond vampire, don't they?" he said, his voice in a quieter, more serious tone than before.
With a quick smirk, Lazlo stamped down hard on Jason's leg with all the power he could muster, which was quite a lot despite the size of him. Stiletto heels could cause a lot more damage, but this would hopefully be enough to break the bone. Jason was a vampire, so it would heal very quickly; but it would still hurt.
